We’re looking for a tax senior associate to join our amazing team!

This new hire will be replacing a retiring tax manager who will be staying on in a consulting role for 1 year to assist with a smooth transition. The position is in person, in our office in Midtown Manhattan, steps from Penn Station.

Day to Day Responsibilities include:

Prepare and file monthly or quarterly sales tax returns.
Maintain tax balances on trial balance.
Liaise with outside tax accountants to manage tax provision and tax compliance process.
Review tax returns prepared by outside firm prior to filing.
Manage and coordinate tax audits.
Prepare all tax workpapers on a regular basis and handle all information data requests.
Review with Corporate CFO any tax planning strategies for partners/owners.
Review/prepare bookkeeping for various family trusts.
Prepare year end trust financial statements for outside tax firm.

Skills/Experience
2-3 years experience in the tax department of a public accounting firm.
Knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns.
Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems.
BA in Accounting, CPA Qualifying

THE ORGANIZATION
KCM LLC is a single family office located in NYC that seeks to achieve long‐term capital appreciation
primarily by partnering with leading external investment managers across alternative and traditional
asset classes in both public and private markets on a global basis. Additionally, the firm

RESPONSIBILITES
Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, the Investment Officer will work collaboratively with the team
across the portfolio. This includes sourcing new investment opportunities across all asset classes, leading
the analysis, diligence and research processes and managing relationships with external investment
managers. Additional responsibilities include:
• Sourcing and maintaining a pipeline of investment opportunities and funds
• Conducting thorough investment due diligence on the most compelling prospective
opportunities including analysis of investment strategy, process, organization, portfolio positions

BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will possess between 8 to 12 years of finance/investment experience including
having worked at a leading endowment, foundation, family office or related investment platform.
He/she will have a demonstrated record of investment and relevant work experience which includes
third‐party manager evaluation. Additional qualifications include:
• Must have the ability to integrate strong analytics in his/her quantitative and qualitative
investment evaluations
• Experience with alternative investments (hedge funds, private equity funds, real estate, etc.)
and traditional investments (public equities, credit/fixed income); strong preference for a
generalist background.
• Established network of investment contacts and GP relationships; ability to access independent
network for manager evaluation and reference checking purposes
• Capacity to think creatively and explore themes and identify managers which are unique
• Unimpeachable ethics with the highest level of integrity, discretion, honesty, loyalty and
commitment
• Personal fit with a small dynamic team is essential
• Passion for investing and intellectual curiosity
• Proactive, highly motivated and a positive “can do” attitude
• Team player with the ability to work independently and drive projects to completion
• Strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to represent his/her
ideas in collaborative discussions
• Along with an undergraduate degree from a top tier university, MBA and CFA are preferred
• High proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Willingness to travel as needed
